Welcome to my watercolor painting blog! This year I've done more painting than I ever have in order to get better at it, so I decided to document it all online. Most of these are from my watercolor sketch books. I welcome any and all feedback and constructive criticism- I'll even take compliments! The goal is to improve as an artist, and anything that helps me achieve that never ending goal is valuable and helpful. So be nice!
The top painting on top was a success if only for the depth that I got by painting the trees behind the wet bushes. I'm usually too impatient to wait for the paint to dry before putting a hard edge next to it. If only I hadn't stuck the mountain right smack in the center behind a perfectly centered tree. The bottom painting came out much better overall. I used Sap Green for the trees and foreground branches at the top. Has more classic look.

ReplyDeleteI really like your bottom , painting! The perspective and the path make it inviting, and the foreground elements make beautiful details.
