Waterblog

Welcome to my watercolor painting blog! This year I've done more painting than I ever have in order to get better at it, so I decided to document it all online. Most of these are from my watercolor sketch books. I welcome any and all feedback and constructive criticism- I'll even take compliments! The goal is to improve as an artist, and anything that helps me achieve that never ending goal is valuable and helpful. So be nice!

About Me

Pete Michels
By day, I am an Animation Director. I paint with watercolors because I'm too impatient to wait for oil paint to dry. I'm also a weekend gardener--I've been growing pods in my back yard to replace humans with replicas while they are sleeping. Studied at Jersey City State College and UCLA. Member of National Cartoonist Society, US Coast Guard Art Program, American Society of Marine Artists. Yes, I am from New Jersey.
